President Lincoln's Funeral, Chicago, engraving from Harper's Weekly, May 20, 1865
    On May 3, 1865 an estimated 125,000 people paid their last respects to the President as he lay-in-state at the Chicago Court House. From Chicago, the funeral train departed for Springfield, Lincoln's final resting place.
