Annotation: The legendary Duke Ellington was a composer, orchestra conductor, and recording artist who influenced jazz and virtually all American music, as he infused the minstrel song, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley tunes, and the blues into his own style of music. His most famous songs include ‘Mood Indigo’, ‘Sophisticated Lady’, ‘In a Sentimental Mood’, ‘Don't Get Around Much Anymore’ and ‘Take the “A” Train’, which was the band’s theme song.
