Annotation: Mural artists Wayne Healy and David Botello founded the East Los Streetscapers, an artist-activist group that painted murals to give voice to the Chicano movement and to the development of Chicano art. Much of the art dealt with social justice issues and the struggle to maintain culture identity while living in a predominantly white society.
