Museum Number: Annotation: Artist Judith Baca, Founder and Artistic Director of the Social and Public Art Resource Center in Los Angeles, has devoted much of her time to large scale projects that address interracial relationships and social justice issues. This mural, Pickers From Guadalupe, is a part of a larger mural--The Great Wall of Los Angeles, Baca’s most famous large scale public art project. Muralism gave voice to the Chicano movement and contributed significantly to the rise of Chicano art.
