She was a member of the Chicago Women’s Liberation Union and founded the longest-running organization in the Union, the Chicago Women’s Graphics Collective. The Chicago assembly of feminists, known as the “West Side Group,” may have been the first organized women’s liberation group in the nation, supporting civil rights and anti-war efforts. Year: 1973
