Eleanor
Roosevelt's Letter to Walter White (May 2, 1934)

My
dear Mr. White:
The
President talked to me rather at length today about the lynching
bill. As I do not think you will either like or agree with everything
that he thinks, I would like an opportunity of telling you about
it, and would also like you to talk to the President if you feel
you want to. Therefore, will you let me know if you are going
to be in Washington before long?
Very
sincerely yours,
Eleanor Roosevelt
